For NEPSE traders

Every trade, and why you took it.

Write the thesis before the trade. Read it again after. Then find out which of your reasons actually made money.

Thesis, written before the buy

“Reclaimed the range it broke down from, on rising volume. Stop below the retest low. Wrong if it closes back inside.”

Review, written after the sell

“Thesis held, but I sold half on the first red day rather than at my target. Nerves, not the plan.”

The note and the number sit on the same record, so neither can be read without the other.

Write it down. Read it back.

Record

The reason, while you still believe it.

Thesis, stop loss, target and how confident you felt — captured at the buy, when it is still an honest account rather than a memory reshaped by the outcome.

Review

What you said, beside what happened.

Every fill in the cycle, the real result, and your own words from before it played out. Most of what a journal teaches lives in that gap.

Learn

Your history, answering back.

Win rate, expectancy, profit factor and drawdown — then the same figures split by setup, sector, holding period, tag and mood.

Setups and tags

Name your plays, then check them.

Tag each cycle with the setup you thought you were taking. After twenty trades the journal can tell you which of them you should keep taking.

Entered at 5 / 5 confidence

31%

win rate — against 58% on the trades taken at a 3. The journal will not tell you why certainty costs you money. It will tell you that it does.

How you felt

The part you would rather forget.

Rate your conviction going in and your nerve coming out. It takes two taps, and it is the column that ends up explaining the most.

Prices

Closing prices arrive on their own.

Every NEPSE close is fetched after the session and marked against your open positions, dated so you can see how fresh it is.1

  • Nothing to type

No price field to keep up to date

  • Dated, not implied

Every mark says which session it is from

  • Whole market

    Listings update themselves too

  • If it sold today

The exit priced at that close, in full

What a trade really cost

A review is only as honest as its numbers.

So the result on every entry is net of broker commission, SEBON fee, the DP fee — charged once a day, not once a trade — and capital gains tax at the rate each parcel of shares earned.2

Reconciles to the paisa
Checked against a real broker contract note, including the weighted average cost its Eff. Rate line shows.
22.5%
of gross profit went to charges on one small position. That figure is on your dashboard, not buried.
Dated rules
Each trade is costed with the rates in force on its own date, so last year's trades keep last year's arithmetic.
